AXLEBOLT is a successful developer of mobile games on the international market. Our flagship project is a mobile first-person action-shooter Standoff 2, which is played by 30 million unique players worldwide every month. We are looking for a Head of 3D Character Art to lead the creation of unique and inspiring game characters.
Tasks that await you:
- Supervise the complete standoff2 character development pipeline and character development on other company projects, from concept to integration, game and cinematic models
- Manage a team of 3D-artists, engage in their professional development
- Collaborate with other departments (animation, concept art, motion design)
- Define plans, goals and priorities of the department, monitor the quality and timing of tasks
- Define plans, goals and priorities for the standoff 2 project, in conjunction with directors and producers
This will help you:
- 5 years of experience in gamedev as a 3D Character Artist and 2 years of team leadership experience
- Understanding of the complete character creation pipeline for mobile projects (modeling, texturing, basic skills/understanding of rigging and engine integration).
- Knowledge of Maya (or similar package), Zbrush, Substance Painter, Unity, Unreal Engine
Will be a plus:
- Knowledge of the character creation pipeline for Cinematics and a basic understanding of the technicalities of the engines' operation
