At Axlebolt we create games played daily by millions of users worldwide. Standoff 2 is one of the company’s key projects — a live product with continuous updates and a large volume of content.

We are currently expanding and looking for a UX Researcher to strengthen our Product Marketing team.

Tasks that you have to work with:
  • Plan and conduct end-to-end research for live and pre-launch products, including in-depth interviews, usability testing, playtests, focus groups, surveys, and concept testing.
  • Independently set up and run remote and offline studies: prepare screeners and discussion guides, moderate sessions, record interviews, synthesize findings, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to UX research for Standoff 2 and new studio projects, strengthening the team’s existing research practice.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and genre research, including analysis of mechanics, features, live ops, positioning, and user expectations.
  • Work on research projects requiring strict process and legal compliance: consent collection, session recording, and interaction with underage participants and their guardians.
  • Synthesize qualitative insights with analytics data and observations from product teams.
  • Deliver clear findings and recommendations for product, marketing, and other stakeholders.
  • Support research ops: develop and maintain the knowledge base, templates, and research archives, as well as collaborate with vendors and participant recruitment.
It will help you with this:
    • 2–5 years of experience in product research, preferably in mobile games or applications.
    • Hands-on experience conducting UX research, including in-depth interviews, usability testing, playtests, focus groups, and concept testing.
    • Strong expertise in qualitative research methods.
    • Experience independently conducting full-cycle research, from setup and execution to analysis and presentation of findings.
    • Experience with market, competitor, and consumer research alongside UX research.
