Middle/Senior Level Designer
ApplyThe Level Design team creates game spaces and designs player interaction scenarios with the environment. We work on level composition, gameplay pacing, balance, and navigation to support the dynamics and logic of the gameplay experience.
Tasks that you have to work with:
- Developing locations for a mobile open-world shooter with vehicles in Unity
- Owning the full cycle of location creation: from blocking and prototyping to final implementation in the engine
- Designing locations with open-world gameplay principles in mind
- Creating and refining urban environments: streets, buildings, points of interest, routes, and gameplay areas
- Participating in the development of game modes and adapting locations to gameplay needs
It will help you with this:
- 2+ years of commercial experience with Blender
- Confident prototyping of urban locations
- Iterative refinement of large locations and objects
- Experience with open-world locations or readiness to quickly dive into open-world development specifics
- Understanding of player navigation design in an open world
Would be a plus:
- Commercial experience with Unity
- Experience in level design for open-world games
- Experience using real-world references in urban planning, such as road junctions, infrastructure, etc
- Ability to work in a team and collaboratively find the best solution
- Systematic thinking and ability to decompose tasks
